Location: Columbus, OH | So my 57 does not have any insulation under the hood. I ordered some replacement stuff but I don't see anything that's going to hold it in. Am I supposed to slather on some rubber cement to hold this stuff or should it just wedge in and hold itself? Or are there some clips that I'm missing that should hold it in? |

| I think it was glued.... maybe use some Velcro pads? |

Location: Western Colorado | It was glued. Don't just use rubber cement or regular contact adhesive since it won't stand up to the heat. I used Weldwood Landau Top and Trim HHR (high heat resistant) contact adhesive. You "might" find something that is rated for high heat in a rattle can? It's also much easier to install if the hood is not on the car.
Good luck!

Location: Columbus, OH | Mine had some at some point, as I can see the pattern where it was pressed or glued against the underside of the hood. That's why I ordered some, I assumed it was missing. |
