Well, YES I say!
I've had bids up to 15K already for my '57 'Tulsa's Sister' Plymouth!
One can only wonder how much the Barrett-crowd will bid if it was a 2-dr HT...

But ofcourse I'm stubborn as fetish and won't budge for those greedy basturds.
It will stay mine until someone pops up will half a mill in his pocket !!!

Here´s another contender to the best "lookAlike" of Ms Belvie! Wouldn´t it be great to invite all lookalikes to the 5 year anniversary?
Then just imagen a rewriting of "christines" manuscript! instead of being crusched in the end she should have bin burried the same as miss belvie!
It had bin possible to do a christine 2, based on what happened when they opened up that toomb..................................

Hey Morgan....I see you beat me to it! I just came across this thread and immediately thought...Well, here's another chance to show my Belvedere off. Ahh, that's quite alright. I'm glad you're so enthusiastic about my Belve. being a candidate for Tulsa Edition Look-a-Like. To answer the question...Will one ever measure up to a Christine clone in value?...No, I'm afraid not. Christine has the ever popular King/Carpenter movie with a cult following that's down right fanatical. Few people even know what Ms. Belvedere or the buried Tulsa Plymouth is. The fact that she's somewhere in storage right now and not on display in a museum doesn't help either. Here's a few more photos of my Belve. for good measure.

Yeah..the porch needs a roof and the driveway is a bit overgrown too...but as long as the Belvedere is running and shining who cares? We were driving the coutryside around Halloween time and I thought this old abandoned house would make a nice backdrop for a few photos. The other photo with the cemetary in the background was last years "Halloween photo shoot".

Hey Morgan...What was the price of that gold Belve. in Oceanside, NY? Full resto's are deadly expensive now a days! Even if the car was a gift, wouldn't you be upside down in the car before you were 1/2 done?

I looked at the photos again Morgan...The car certainly looks like its mostly there...and the outer panels don't look too bad but still it's really hard to tell without some photos of her underbelly. Without seeing another photo I would think you'd have to count on a minimum of: Lots of welding/floorwork, rebuilding engine, trans, front end and braking system, full paint job, interior and all rechroming. That doesn't even count the smaller stuff that you never count on. But plenty of guys do it all the time and love doing it so I guess that's your call....you know...whether you look for a car that's already nice or buying a non-runner that needs everything. I've done both and I have come to the conclucion (now that I'm older especially) that buying a car that's been done up properly is the way to go. Obviously, they're harder to find though. Keep looking with patience and the right one will come along. Everyone just a few years ago was telling me the very same thing. If I see anything I'll be sure to pass it along to you...

Here's my '57 Belvedere "Tulsa Twin" parts car. It's hard to tell from all of the surface rust, but underneath there is an original Desert Gold and Sand Dune White car.

Money, yes that's one of three important ingredients. Time is another . Spirit is the third and most important. Remember you can do very much on the car that doesen't cost alot. Try to concentrate to get it running before you are totally out of money. When you are out of money , you could lose inspiration and everything ends up in the backyard.lf you get it driveable you will charge your battery and move forward slowly and come up with new ideas . :-) morgan

Somebody, somewhere on these boards, had bought a rough 57 Belvie vert, and wanted to
see photos of its OEM color(s).

Found this Ad, but can't find his thread, so here is where I'll post the Ad-pics.

Morgan, in Re: Ms. Belvie, not surprisingly, she did not have many options.

No stamped-out fender, for an antenna (but she had(?) a radio installed into the dash), PowerFlite, 2-bbl/single-
exhaust, no bumper 'wings', and no right or left outside mirrors; manual seat and windows, of course, but she
had tinted glass in her, and stone shields and back-up lights. And White Walls.

Thanks !!!  It's my only running Mopar at the moment, so will stay in one piece until my other project (63 Ford) is complete.... I am concluding a body off resto on the Galaxie and hope to treat the Plymouth to the same level of detail.

It's a keeper for sure and will remain Gold and White.   I tried to copy the brochure colour which is also in this thread as the original Desert Gold Metallic was a bit drab for my taste.  There is some heavy metallic in the Gold and a touch of pearl in the White top which I hope to duplicate..... that was a driveway paint job !!!   Will try and post a pic of the upholstery as I deviated a bit on that too and left the tombstone/trapezoid seat inserts (Belvedere) out and did my own thing with Gold /Green flashy seat trim inserts !

I just found one about an hour NW of Tulsa. This one has been garage kept for years, but the garage was also home to dogs that used it as their outhouse. That pee really ruined this car, it's rusted in places only Miss Belvedere was rusted.
