I need to repair the heater valve in 59 Plymouth. I found it on ebay:

The larger seal is 1.000" in diameter. The stem seal is the larger .625" in diameter. This larger seal is for Ranco valves with a tube/leg OD of approx .750" (3/4"). This would be the tube below the larger seal.

The larger seal is 1.000" in diameter. The smaller stem seal is .500" in diameter. The smaller seal is for Ranco valves with a tube/leg OD of .625" (5/8"). This would be the tube below the larger seal.

which set is correct for my valve?

The tube/leg has an OD of 5/8" on the Ranco valves used for the FL cars - just check it for to be sure (roundabout 16mm)

The Ranco H16 was used on 60 & 61 models and most probably many other year models.

As far as I know the Ranco H16 was used from 1950 to ??

The big seal (the one that leaks water into the passenger footwell) can be replaced by a Balkamp BK 6601000 from a US NAPA store. About $10. I had to order in 10 for a small group buy because they are not available otherwise in Canada.

The small seal might leak but that one doesn't result in any spills, just a warmer core than you might want.

The Ranco H16s were used on a wide variety of cars:

Thanks guys! I think it's a pretty reasonable price; 2 items, free shipping. I hope good quality

Just let us know how it works out - the NAPA kit has only the membran, not the smaller seal.
