I've used Dex 111 in several overhauled powerflites and torqueflites in my shop. The vehicles have about 5k miles, trouble free so far.

The one thing rarely mentioned in discussions of advances in the various ATF's is the introduction of the lockup converter. Early lockup converters suffered from a shudder when partially applied so the fluid was reformulated (made slipperier) to eliminate the shudder.
