Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | Another car claimed to be all orginal. Looks amazing. All the service stickers are still in the door jambs and the undercarriage looks like a car that's only been on the road for a year or two. Interior is fantastic and the paint is incredible. The original spare too. https://omaha.craigslist.org/cto/d/1958-dodge-coronet-lancer/6595612758.html

I was thinking that too, but aside from the price (and the map showing the airport), nothing really seems too suspect. Plates and phone match the listed location. Anyone up near Council Bluffs who is willing to give "Todd" a call and see if the car can be seen in person?

Expert Posts: 3966 Location: DFW, TX | The car is real, the ad is real, the guy is real. If you want it, then buy it! You will be very lucky to ever find a better original '58 Dodge than this one. And it's a coupe in great colors too. https://www.facebook.com/groups/ForwardLook/permalink/10155714900664...

The paint codes correctly for the data plate. Sometimes the Ditzler description is not spot on. 2 is a basic two-tone, N is roof color, X is lower, and X is fins and deck. Location: The Mile High City | That is a dang nice car! Interestingly, it was built on November 26, 1957 - which is not super early. It has a 1957 horn ring. It would be interesting to see the VIN tag on this one. According to Ditzler notes, there were only about 300 cars painted in the early version of sand poly. If this one has a VIN less than 1121, it is the early version - go figure! Edited by Lancer Mike 2018-05-23 4:55 PM
