Extreme Veteran Posts: 509 Location: Whetstone, Arizona | Hi guys, Can someone decode the Data tag on my car? I tried to take a photo of it but its a black tag and does not show well in a photo so i'll write them out, 293 421 483 491 513 585 SCHEDULE..........BDY......PNT....TRM A...0801...21025......2546.....3LAA...213 Im asking this because the radio rear antenna's are the DeSoto/Chrysler type and look to be factory or dealer installed and no antenna hole in the front fender...only has 1 outside mirror...has twin rear speakers with control knob under the dash. the Coronet was a 1 owner car that was parked up in 1966...and doesn't look like it was ever messed with at all Edited by arizona mopar gold 2018-04-29 6:48 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9899 Location: Lower Mainland BC | I thought that "2546" had been established as the D500 2dr hardtop body number - but I couldn't find it with a search. I did find a 2586 reference, along with the KD500 engine number reference: REF: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=67778&... 3LAA for the paint. I know we've figured out what the number meant - but I couldn't find that either. SO.... L = Glacier white rood and fins. A = Jewel Black Saddle and A = Jewel Black lower = looks like it came from the factory the way it looks now. And this thread: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=67745&... Expert Posts: 1906 Location: Ontario, Canada | Your car is coded as a Custom Coronet 2dr HT and left the factory with no radio so the antennas and rear speaker could well have been dealer installed. It did leave the factory with stone shields, plastic steering wheel and spinner wheel covers as well as the left outside mirror. Greg

Expert Posts: 1906 Location: Ontario, Canada | I just saw your last post with photos. It looks original to me with the dealer added antennas. Yes, it is coded as a D500. Greg

Extreme Veteran Posts: 509 Location: Whetstone, Arizona | The windshield is solex with the tint band on top...it's very faded but there....LD3 Greg...the car is very original...no paint work redone etc....seats are like brand new under the clear covers...no wear on the rubber floor mats either...they still have a nice grey speckled finish to them...worst part inside the cabin is the headliner board is very moldy from the NY winter weather ...its in AZ now ,..I'm letting it dry out with Windows hood and trunk lid open,....then I will lightly , with an old rag bleach the headliner and hope it turns white again and see if I can save it... Anything in the data plate numbers if the clock was original or a later install?...also...she has power steering but manual brakes!

It would really be helpful for the forum to know which numbers go with which physical option 293 = radio delete? or?? 421 = stone shields? or ?? 483 = ? 491 = ? 513 = ? 585 =? Then we'd have something to build an info archive from.

One of the first things replaced was the windshield for obvious reasons!! PS was never specifically coded on the body plate but PB usually was and your car was not. A clock was never coded on the body plate as an accessory. You need a copy of the punch card to zoom in on the details! When you get it please post it and several of us can have a go at it!!
