Hi all!

I know oil is a hot button topic and I've read a lot of threads on it. I've been using Mobil1 synthetic in my '58 Plymouth 350 since about 2003, but I'm not sure if that's the best for it

Hemmings is selling oil with high zinc (but they don't tell the level) https://www.hemmings.com/store/detail?product_id=1810

Is that the right way to go? Mobil1 has 900ppm of zinc...is that not sufficient? It certainly is cheaper than what Hemmings is offering.

10w30 is the weight I've used in the past, does that make sense to keep with?

I also just use the same oil filters that fit on a 383, but any recommendations on size/brand would be helpful.

Thanks all!

Hemmings im sure is just looking for suckers... Reselling by slapping a new label on it and marking it up 20%

lots of options, I used to test my oil by sending it to blackstone labs to determine actual info on engine.

I might do one once I break in my 392 hemi.

some info from Castrol about "classic" cars

https://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom/products/cars/classic-o...

You can simply use an additive also.
