Hi,
Could someone tell me what is the correct mounting for the jack, wrench, base, and tire? I think I understand that the jack goes under the tire and against the two tabs toward the front of that area. Does the lug wrench go under the tire also? Where does the base go? I read somewhere that it is stored behind the gas filler tube. If so, how is the tire held in place? I see a hook slot and obviously a draw bolt hooks on that and up through the tire, but what holds the tire down? A wing nut and ?.

The car I am working on has all the spare tire stuff missing so I am clueless how that goes together. Thanks for the help.

Why of course, you just get one of the girls to hold the a spare and the jack while you drive into the Drive-In Theater or head off to the beach for a fun day of frolicking in the surf.

Sorry about that, but seriously, here are some options. Typically, they all use the jack base with its round center, flipped over, to help hold down the spare, with an existing captured bolt and the big wing nut.

After your first picture I was thinking who needs a spare tire anyway. Thanks for the other pictures that's how I'll do mine.
