| Hello all,
Been wanting to join for a while so here I am. I 've begun a looooooooooong term restoration of my dad's 1955 CRL. It's been sitting for over 50 years but is complete and about 150,000 miles. He bought the car new and we have pictures of it at my parents wedding. We removed it from its original spot in an old building about 2 years ago and it is now stored in a newer building with a concrete floor and lights at my dads place. However, I live 75 miles away so am only able to work on smaller parts. I am currently working on the front seat assembly now. As I said this will be a long term project, probably lasting thru early retirement. Will try psoting some pics.

Location: So. Cal | Welcome. Sounds like a great project that you can pass on to your children as well. You may want to concentrate on the mechanical issues so you can start driving it and enjoy it during the process. |

| Thanks.
I have a 69 Roadrunner that I drive once in a while so the 55 will be fully restored before driving it. |

| I'm in Greencastle, about halfway between Chambersburg and Hagerstown, MD. Lived in Pittsburgh (southern part) though for close to 20 years. Was just out that way on Friday looking at Allegheny College in Meadville with my wife and daughter so I wasn't far from New Castle. |

If you need a guide how to restore the 270 hemi engine bay, you can't go wrong using this (a local guy (Paul) (to me)), early Custom Royal Lancer.
On a negative note (sorry) , those bullet red taillights are obviously wrong - but I have the solution (proper 55 taillight lenses - if you are interested)

progress with her and post some of those old photos here, too, if you get the chance.
