727 TF from a 1962 Dodge 880
lokar cable

Running a 383 that sits on 190 Degrees or around 215 sitting in city traffic..

Everything works great 1,2 into 3rd at the correct speeds when first start driving and kickdown but after 1-2 hours or so of driving the TF starts drawing out the gears.. 2nd is drawn out and 3rd is drawn right out until I take my foot off a little (like a wrong adjustment).

It does have the cable but like I said, everything is working correctly until under the hood gets hot. It's a very hot engine bay to the point I can't touch the TF dipstick. Hot engine but not overheating engine. Sits on 185 degrees Highway driving.

I made a bracket to fit the cable and thought maybe the bracket is getting hot enough to distort and put the adjustment out.. The bracket is only about 2mm thick.

What are your thoughts on this problem? Could it be the bracket? Keep in mind everything works great until all gets hot. Haven't seen any foaming of fluid.

I'm thinking you have a governor sealing ring problem; as the fluid gets hot and thins out, the governor pressure leaks past the sealing rings and low governor pressure makes the upshifts later. There is a governor pressure test port in the tailhousing, a gauge fitted there with a long hose will tell you if the pressure is dropping off.
