Not to be a stickler, but full disclosure:
Incorrect Pass Exhaust Manifold
Incorrect Carbs
Alternator
Wrong Color Gold on the engine
Dual MANUAL brake cylinder
Inoperable heater control valve
Open hole in the Driver's side firewall (stuffed with a rag)

All that just from one engine bay pic. Car might be a solid car, but that's way too many questions in my head for the price bid to...

Add in the rougher interior, and this car will need some significant investment just to get it to semi show-ready Christine status...

I don't get it, I can't sell my 57 belvedere 2dr hardtop for $30k, but if I paint it red/white it's worth $47k?

its got a little bondo in the lower rear quarters? some floor repair and hes splattered the body braces(some surface rust but looks intact).

Overall the body looks fairly solid, i dont like the rattle can grey and undercoat splatter to hide stuff, but its looks solid. I would like to see the rockers though.

the one door panel looks fragged. Its got cheap seats, i assume his fold down one needs covered/repaired.

yes if you paint it red and make it a 58 its worth 47k (mind you this is a project that needs finished, the bidders know this).

But this (finishing project) car seems to be a little to high... I know inflation is up and 58 Belvederes are drying up but that is high for that level of car.

I see plenty asking for 57-58 plymouths(yes Christine hunters mostly) and no one stepping up to sell, so prices will rise.

Oh yeah, in pic #12 you can see the unsanded bondo on the lower edge of the quarter panel. I would definitely recommend a first hand inspection on the car.

I see it has no rubber weatherstripping on the quarter glass window or beltline. Wonder if that's the case for all the weatherstripping or it's just not fitted..

Looking at the pictures Does it look like this car has a 4 Door front seat ? I don’t see a split in the seat back.

It sure does. That'll make it real fun to get in and out of the rear seat. But he says he does have the original seat out of the car, apparently not good enough to use.

Mine was WAY, WAY, WAY better and sold on eBay for more than 10k$ less...

I really don't understand this market sometimes. I guess the fact that my car was in Canada was seen as a hassle for some bidders in the USA, yet my car was sold to... you guessed it: Europe!

Until money changes hands, we will not know if this car went for 48 big ones, or it was just kids playing around and casting bids.

I suspect you are right John. The price on there jumped from $20K to $45K instantly. That's a big jump that doesn't usually happen - especially with a car in this shape. There may be some shill bidding going on.

This is what else the winning bidder is bidding on.. Either a collector or a classic car seller.

Gone: and this popped up:

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

Hmmm.
