Looks like a decent project. Don't know enough about Imperials to say if the price is resonable.

It's a Crown coupe with factory A/C
I've heard about fin cars getting their fins cut off in the 60's to blend in with the current fashion but this is the first 1957 Imperial I've seen like that!
Also note the fender trim and gun sight tail lamp chrome has been removed as well
Definitely an unusual car!

Oh wow. I wasn't paying attention and didn't even notice all those things when I saw the ad and thought it was just a regular Imperial. It actually looks pretty good with the reduced fins. It reminds me a lot of the 'plucked chicken' 62 Imperial.

In the ad: "Interior is excellent"  .... I do not have the same definition of excellence

Those reduced fins make her look like she's water-logged!

The "reduced" fins look utterly ridiculous. Why someone would spend the time to do this, when they are not even that high to begin with... This has been for sale before, I told the seller the fins had been cut but she insists they have not and they all were like this.....

are they reduced in height or just wider? The pictures seem to support either idea or both. In the rear they don't look shorter but about midway up they seem overly wide.

If the engine and trans are unmolested like they say then its worth it. Steering wheel doesn't look terrible either.

Tell him to measure the height of his fin ... Or send him a picture of a "real" '57 Imperial ! I've ton of them .
