Just wondering if anyone one has 3D printed these badging yet? I have an actual D500 (missing one of the pins on the back) but the D501 are of course hard to find. Does anyone have a D501 that I can rent (deposit will be given for it) so I can 3D print it? I also have a person in Denver who will make a mold off of an original D501 badge if one can be located or loaned out. A mold would be for cast non-metallic resin version. Anyone have one to borrow? I will give a cash deposit for it as a backup that you will get it back.

My guy can do that also in Plastic Resin if we have a badge to do the copy of. Anyone out there with the D501 or Fuel Injection badge that I can borrow?

John,

What means are you using to create a model? Serge was an inspiration for me to get off my butt and learn SolidWorks, having had it on my work computer for a few years now. I just created this 62 NYer emblem. The tough part is gathering all of the dimensions. I drew some of it in 2D AutoCAD to determine some of the dimensions for the model.

Very nice! I don't know if this 2D Solid Works rendering can be loaded into a 3D Printer to generate a copy. I have a D500 emblem already but wanted to make a D501 emblem since they are so hard to come by. I have a picture of the D501 maybe you can manipulate the 2nd zero into the number one. but first, let me find someone who does the 3D printing to see if they can convert a 2D into 3D. I will get back to you...

Unfortunately, had no chance to get something from here . . . . must find for buy or forget!   - SERGE -

N.B. All FL-emblems are avaible on cars of members. One guy in Switzerland even unmounted from his car to borrow me - a dream here?

Any nice picture presented by Marc (many thanks!) cannot be used for a correct repro.

Congrat Robert for your first attempts - looks fine! As I like this emblem, I purchased one and will model it. View from rear there are various ones. Keep going on - good luck  - SERGE -
