This was the same guy who sold a 61 New Yorker wagon. You can see the wagon in one of the pics. If I remember right he was asking around $10k for the Desoto

Veteran Posts: 214 | I stupidly sold this 61 DeSoto about 15 years ago. It had lost reverse and I didn't feel like dealing with it. It sold on ebay at a high bid of $2600!! At the time that seemed a bit light but I was happy to get that price. The buyer was on the East Coast. Does anyone know the whereabouts of this car? Wish I had kept this one. Expert Posts: 3966 Location: DFW, TX | I agree. I'm not knocking the '60s at all with that comment, either. I just think the '61 Desoto is one of the craziest, most outlandish cars ever built. They're awesome. Rare, too.

Location: Parts Unknown | With the exception of the Chrysler, I think ALL the 61 Mopars do not show near as well in photos as they do in person. I can think of all sorts of things to pick apart on the designs that year, but when one is there in front of me, I am pleased as punch to be running my eyes all over it !
