My version of the C3646 Pitman arm puller made of 355 construction steel and partly a fubar puller.

All parts were heated up to 200º C (392º F) before TIG welding. Then the puller has been cured and media blasted.

Most probably the original puller was made by Miller.

The function is smooth and very nice. I pre-heated the Pitman arm with my induction heater to 70º C, mounted my puller and the Pitman arm came off with just a couple of turns of the bolt.

The Pitman arm has never been demounted before so it had more than 60 years to rest and rust - still no match for the proper tool

I am familiar with some of your tools but not the long bar with rectangular hole, what is that used for?

Thanks' guys. the long bar with the rectangle is for to hold the yoke on the differential when loosening or tighten the nut.
