Looking to replace the old leaking rad with a aftermarket aluminium one for better cooling , dropping in a worked 392 in the future so looking for increased cooling .

Check with Griffin Radiators, They can build you a radiator with their original like top tanks. I'm considering doing that on my 1955 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer.

The cheaper ones with good looking rounded tanks are sold by KKS, and you can get them off ebay. That's what I would recommend. If you don't want to modify your core support, go with the one made for '62-'65 B-body cars. If you want to open up the core support for even better cooling, you can go with a 26" radiator from a '66-'70 B-body. But this does require custom mounts and locaion. The '62-'65 version is practically a drop-in replacement.

Bought a "guaranteed to never leak" aluminum radiator on ebay 4/5 years ago. Cooled excellent but started to leak 3 years later, now like a sieve. The company that "guaranteed lifelong or money back" is long gone....
The OE radiator lasted 54 years.

This one is on ebay, pretty cheap and seems to be right. But look at the brackets. Is somebody noticing something strange? I politely contacted the seller about this, if this is an optical illusion and got this response. Quote: ".....All of ours are going to be grill side mounting which 99.9% of all radiators are.....". Meaning 99.9% of all radiators bolt to the grille side of the radiator support In the end (staying polite) I got a pretty nasty response.

What do you think?
