does anyone know the procedure for installing and correct adjustment for one of these?
I have a large manual and it does not discuss the idler arm

The bushing but is left thread I think and the arm is right thread

the large fitting which screws into the chassis bracket
you can wind the arm into the bushing as far as you want

the smaller fitting which goes thru the Centrelink
you cannot wind the arm on as it hits the centrelink bar
if you try and screw it in the bushes winds out as the threads are opposite

I'm sure I'm doing it wrong just need a push along

thanks
tim

Guessing here, possible the bushing in the center link is upside down, looks that that bend in the center link might clear the arm. I did this 10 years ago and can't remember, car is gone now.

G'day Dave

feel so dumb

That was it for some reason I had it in my head the Centrelink bolted to pitman arm from underneath
but it does not, comes in from the top which then spins the centrelink over and the idler arm does up perfect.

I am converting the New yorker back to LHD, the previous owner started so slowly getting the bits done as I restore it

thanks for your help

tim
