This could be a time capsule. Not enough pics to say for sure, but looks like it might be a fantastic original car. Plus it's one of the ultra rare "Chevrolet" New Yorkers! lol

Sure wish there was more pictures and or info. I love 4 dr hdtp cars. I've got two. This New Yorker could be a very sweet car even at 10K, but it's tough to say from the ad.

Now there's a little more to go on! Nice car. A little south of 10K nice perhaps.

I see a lot of rust coming out from the floors to the garage floor. I would assume that it would need floor work, or maybe inner rockers.

A 4 d HT!!! What a beautiful car! Love cars with originality and patina. Love the interior. I can smell the interior over here! Would take this over any clinical-clean, perfect and dead overrestored show car convertible in red with wire wheels.

That car does look pretty good. But lets look at this project. Its a Minnesota car. Rust issues because of SALT on the roads. You can see there have been mice in the car. And you can also see interior flaws and rust coming out all over. Cool car but a big project.

Yes indeed this is a very nice car. It is also a very big project. Can it be beautifully restored. Of course. Just takes time and money... lots and lots of it. Don't get me wrong I'd love to restore them all. They are amazing cars. Just have to pick your battles wisely.

Price is high given locked motor and probably rust but has some really nice attributes, look at that steering wheel. Really needs better pics to sell..

Be lucky to get 1/2 that.
Couldn't even give my Windsor away without completely parting it out.
And I do mean completely and it was a heck of a lot more solid than that one.
Anyone need a 354 Poly?? with transmission??

"probably rust"

What are you all seeing? I don't see any rust whatsoever on the car from the photos except the surface of the filler piece below the grill behind the bumper and that is a very typical spot to surface rust. The '59 DeSoto bumper inserts were the same material and coating and did the same thing. Otherwise the quarters, rockers, wheel wells, floors, inner fenders all look rust-free to me. Making the assumption that a car is automatically rusty because it's from Minnesota is also completely innappropriate. There are plenty of rust-free cars in the midwest that haven't been exposed to snow and salt. I'm not saying this car is perfect, but come on guys.

Look at the garage floor under the car. This only happens if you have floor rot or inner rocker rot. Yes, the outer rockers look pretty good on the surface, but this rust doesn't come from nowhere.
Nevertheless, this looks like a great project. I think it would be a nice car for someone to take on. But depending on the amount of floor & inner rocker work that is required, the price would need to reflect that accordingly. Currently it doesn't.

Does rust just flake off like that on a car that sits in a dry enviroment? I mean, I'd assume it has some rust issues due to where it's from, but it seems kinda wierd that you'd have that much rust falling off on a car stored inside a shed. It looks like it's been in that garage for a long time too. I'd also think it's kinda strange that you'd have that much rust underneath, but not see any visible  rot on any external sheetmal, or anywhere under the hood and around the headlights (assuming they didn't just bondo over a lot of rust and covered it up with a Maaco paint job).

I'm thinking there's a possibility that stuff under the car could just be dust and dirt that fell off when they dusted it off for the newer pictures. It could also be dust and dirt accumulated on the floor that was never swept up because no one wanted to go through the effort of moving the car just so they could sweep the floor under it. If you look at the pic I attached, you can see a lot of grass and stuff underneath the car too, but not anywhere else in the shed. Did the seller post any pics of the underside?

Just found out this vehicle has been sold by its owner in an Craigs List email to me. Hopefully it is by one of our FL members.

hemi locked up? how do we know, that a connecting rod it is not flapping inside of the block? Hemi parts are scarce and expensive. Too big of a risk. But it was probably purchased for the engine.
