Posted on Facebook this Imperial was just brought to life by this guy, now he has a broken starter, bell housing and looking for a replacement. In the socialist Venezuela where the car is located it is more than impossible to buy parts overseas, he told me.

This is the second Imperial with heater delete I ever seen besides mine, it is not a coincidence that my car was sold in Venezuela too. With an average temperature of 75°F (24°C) and the coldest is January at 72°F (22°C) why pay for a heater?

The interesting fact is that his car is only the C57-5835 out of Detroit so a very early production car, unfortunately the radiator plate is missing.

Sadly for the damage I can see, it is probably the end of the road for the Hemi 392.

I'll never complain about my working conditions again! What a neat car, great to find another.

Do you know what the plans are of the fellow that owns it? It proably woudn't be impossible to find a new bellhousing and starter for an Imperial that old, but he's probably out of luck in Venezula, especially if it would have to come from overseas. I predict that he will probably use the Cuban solution, i.e. adapt a more modern engine amd transmission to fit from a later model car that can be sourced locally. Seems as if the body is in relaively decent shape.
