Veteran Posts: 148 | Behind the heater core there are two flap-like pieces I need to replace but I have no idea what they're called. There's a match on the other side. Site is being picky about uploading a second pic today. Any help is greatly appreciated! There's a match on the other side. Todd: For those of us who lack psychic powers, could you confirm the year and model of the firewall in your photo? Otherwise, my guess is Item 60 "Connectors" below (which were "not serviced" parts, i.e. you'll need to contact Steele Rubber or Quiery (sp?)) Veteran Posts: 148 | Sorry about that! Having my feet in the air while my head has been under the dash must have caused all the blood to rush to my head. I have a 1960 DeSoto Adventurer. Thanks a million for the reply! EDIT: Actually, after looking at the diagram, those connectors are not the part I need but the sources you mentioned may have a line on them. The parts are rubber flaps-like parts that I believe may be there to allow condensation to escape from the heater box. I may be way off base with that and welcome any insight anyone may have in the issue. Edited by NC Adventurer 2021-05-03 5:04 PM

Hmm.... the proper heater diagram doesn't show what you need. I don't know where to look. Expert Posts: 4034 Location: Connecticut | Check the Gary Goers/Quirey catalog. I bought the same rubber flappers for my 58 Plymouth from him. Ron

Veteran Posts: 148 | I just spoke with Duane at Van's in WI. Duane was kind enough to measure their Firewall Drain Flap Cowl for the 1957- 1959 Chryslers. The dimensions are exactly the same as those of the 1960 DeSoto Adventurer and, I assume, the Fireflight. Vans has these in stock for $10/ea.

Veteran Posts: 148 | UPDATE: I received the Firewall Drain Flap Cowl pieces after only four days after placing my order. Once again, Vans demonstrated great customer service. I took the pieces to the garage and did a preliminary test by holding them in place and they are spot on. The quality is top notch. Duane said that they were going to change their site to reflect that the 57-59 flaps were correct for 1960 models, as well.
