Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | I don't normally post 62's, but you don't see many New Yorker wagons. Factory front and rear AC and power windows. Has some bubbling which is concerning. Ugly wheels (though you can see the original caps and wheels in one pic), not a fan of the color either. Anyone know why the rear end is sitting so high on this? https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/ivujivik-1962-chrysler-w/6804774808.html

Expert Posts: 3966 Location: DFW, TX | Looks like a decent, restorable car. I can't explain why anyone would paint it two-tone pink and add the little swoosh on the quarter. The combination of "rare car with mechanicals recently overhauled" juxtaposed with "shabby custom paint with god awful wheels and a filthy interior" makes me think this car was inherited by someone that had no idea what to do with it. It's going to take some elbow grease to take all the Ugly back off, but it's worthwhile. It's one of 728 (if it's a 6p) or 793 (if it's a 9p).

Whether or not the person has bad taste, they can still appreciate the original styling. The bad taste only comes in when they decide to start modifying the car. A good analogy would be like if a guy went to the best restaraunt in town and ordered a filet mignon because he likes it, but when the server brings it out he puts pancake syrup, chocolate, Tabasco, wasabi, and sandwiches it all between two pop-tarts.
