Hi everyone,

Long story short, my dad would like to swap a 4 barrel intake and carb on the 56 Belvedere from the 2 barrel. Searching has been a bit frustrating, OEM 4 barrel intakes are hard to find and aftermarket are impossible to guarantee fit. Anyone have a specific model intake they have swapped? The Summit site shows none. But their Ebay account shows this should fit....then going back to their site and looking at the model it says won't fit. Very frustrating! If anyone has used this on their 56 277 v8, or another, let me know! Thanks.

I just went through the model fitment for a 56 Belvedere with a 277 and it says that it is compatible. (??) You probably need to talk to Weiand directly on Monday.

For fun, I found the PN for the 56 Fury 303 4bbl intake manifold. 1731 609 Chasing that number (as 1731609) lead me to this:

Which includes this:

And this (which is what you posted) (so full circle):

Pricey, but it fits a 277.

The 277 is an "A" poly motor. Only intakes that are meant for those poly motors, including the 318 poly from '58-'66 will work. Unfortunately, Weiand stopped making the aluminum poly 4bbl manifold. but the Chrysler power single 4bbl that Gary listed is really the way to go. Dual quad intakes are ironically easier to find than the single 4bbl. But that is likely because dual 4bbls are really overkill for these small motors.
