Hi Chris , i see you are in Australia . There are no specific vendors i have seen who would have a rebuilt one ready to go , but maybe someone else knows of a place . Secondly most of the US rebuilders are pretty average , although they will claim they are good .
There are a few guys on ebay who have rebuilt specific numbered carbs , but its luck of the draw as to whether they will have your actual one .

If you actually have a carb yourself and can be bothered doing it , send your carb to MLP Carbs in Reservoir in Melbourne . He has rebuilt at least 20 AFBs and probably 70-80 Quadrajets . I know him well and he will do a great job , much better than overseas .

If you just want it cleaned and rekitted he can have it done quickly . If you wanted it fully rebuit and shafts have to be replated etc.. it will take longer . I would only trust sending my carbs to him for multiple reasons .

Thanks

I did have it done once but have never been happy with it. Ran like crap from day dot had a bog when accelerating. Now because the car sits for long periods of time while im restoring it runs worse than ever. I need to get something done with it. It runs so bad and missing that its hard to even keep it running to back it out of the garage. Will look up MLP carbs and thanks for the info.

Keep in mind that your poor performance could be caused by something else. A bad vacuum advance, for instance, can act similar to what you are describing.
