Elite Veteran Posts: 963 Location: San Antonio, TX | My 57 De Soto 4dr hdtp has crank windows. That's something that I would really like to upgrade during the restoration. I know of a 59 Saratoga 4dr hdtp parts car for sale. Does anyone know if the power window regulators will interchange? Looking at the 55-58 parts list the power window regulators for 57 Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler and De Soto are the same. 58 has different part number from 57, but again all makes except Imperial use the same regulators. I would think 59 would work... but you know what happens when you assume. Thanks!

Expert Posts: 4034 Location: Connecticut | People that foolishly look at interchange manuals end up cursing that the part they spent $$$ on, doesn't fit or work as expected. Realize this: Chrysler Corp used two different vendors for power windows. None of the parts interchange between vendors. What worked for Dura 57 - 59 may have been different for Auto-Lite for each year. Find out what power windows the 57 has. The determine via part number whether it would work for 59. Ron

Elite Veteran Posts: 963 Location: San Antonio, TX | What I was trying to ask actually was. Will the power window setup from a 59 Saratoga work on a manual 57 DeSoto? Both are 4dr hdtp cars. So I guess my question really is. Are the doors and the way the power regulators mount the same?
