I know there's always some controversy as to whether or not the 62's are considered FL's, but it's basically a 61 Dodge front mated to a 61 Plymouth rear, so I think this one should count. Plus, how often do you see Dodge or Plymouth 60-62 hardtop wagon running around? These things are rare and don't pop up but once in a great while, unlike their more common hardtop Chrysler wagon cousins (which to be fair aren't exactly common either) or sedan wagon variants.

Ha! I didn't either. I had a '62 Dodge 880 convertible driver for a couple years and thought that was rare.

You got me doubting the existance of some of these wagons now, and I think you may be right. It doesn't seem as though Plymouth made any hardtop wagons in 60 or 61 after searching Google. There are definitely Dodge hardtop wagons for those years which are insanely rare, but no Plymouths.

There is a one-off custom though of what could have been if Plymouth offered a pillar-less wagon in 60, and it's definitely something that should have been produced:

Yes the 1962 Dodge 880 line was basically a combination of the 1961 Dodge Front Clip mated to the body of a 1962 full size Chrysler.

The station wagons (suburban) were also the same. Actually the rear body of the 1962 Dodge Custom 880 station wagon shares the 1962 Chrysler Hardtop station wagon body. It is the same basic design first used on the 1961 Plymouth station wagons though they were not offered as a hardtop version.
I believe that the 1962 Dodge Custom 880 wagons were only offered in a 4-door hardtop model. The suburban 4-door sedan station wagon was reintroduced in 1963 and 1964 models as the Dodge 880 and the Custom 880 remained as the hardtop version on both cars and suburbans.
In fact this was the case for all years of production (1962-64) of the Dodge 880 wagons. The 1962-64 Dodge 880 wagons continued to share the same rear body as the 1962-64 Chrysler wagons except for taillight differences.

In general there were not a lot of the Dodge Custom 880 station wagons produced. Interestingly the production increases in 1963-64 model years. Here is the breakdown by model year that I could locate:

1962 -64 Dodge Custom 880 and 880 Station Wagon Production

1962 Dodge Custom 880
6 passenger 1174
9 passenger 890

1963 Dodge 880
6 passenger 1727
9 passenger 907

1963 Dodge Custom 880
6 passenger 1647
9 passenger 1365

1964 Dodge 880
6 passenger 1908
9 passenger 1082

1964 Dodge Custom 880
6 passenger 1639
9 passenger 1796

I have a 63 dodge 880 9 passenger wagon. Was one of my first cars I bought back in 04 or so. Still have it, fun car.
