the number on the carb is 2896s a8 I was told this is the wrong carb for my car possibly????, I've also been looking through napa and kragen and can't seem to find a kit number for it. Trying to get my car back up and running to refresh the rear main seal and hope it starts working properly. Any help is appreciated, sorry for posting so much I'm just trying to get my baby back on the road.

It comes up as '60-'61 Dodge 318 V8 motor. The kit number listed is CRK-6114A. Not sure if the number is helpful to the parts stores or not, but they should be able to figure it out with the year application. I always purchase carb rebuild kits from NAPA because they know what they are doing and can get stuff like that.

I'm not sure that is going to work, the pictures of the gasket that is shown doesn't look like the mounting faces of the carb. My carb looks the same as the 2bbl from a 56 but I was told It's not. confusing and I don't want to accidentally buy the wrong one.
