This was probably asked before but is the red interior 'correct'?

I am not an expert, but it looks like what I would expect of a "correct" interior: fabric looks like 58 De Soto fabric (back seat looks more aged than front), seat and door panel designs look right.  To my eye, the carpets look like replacement carpets.  I thought they would be cut pile.

Are you referring to color?  I don't see the data plate info on this one, or we might be able to tell.  If the carpets were red or black, would that make it look more "correct"?

The seats and door panels look good enough to be original. Don't think I've
ever seen one with red interior that did not have black/charcoal carpet. What
is dreadfully wrong here is there are no power windows !

You're right, the valve covers aren't from '58. I never realized they were a 1 year only thing. He does have the correct, 1 year only air cleaner though, so that's nice.

By correct I meant the color....while I like red interiors, I don't see any coordination with the exterior colors, or even the other interior colors. A red door panel next to a platinum dash pad? It looks like someone took red seats/door panels from a junkyard car and put them in this otherwise different colored car. Then, I know the factory was more willing to do 'stuff' like this in the old days, so that's why I'm asking.

The red and white Fireflite coupe I parted out had the platinum dash and steering
wheel, paired with the red and grey tweed seat material like this one. My dealer books
would confirm which interior colors you could "officially" get with which exterior colors,
but they are not easily accessed right now.

from the ones for sale recently, I preferred this color scheme (see below).  however, this spring special is very attractive!

For reference, here's a shot of my survivor '58 Fireflite's engine to showing the '58 valve covers.
