hi
my car has the clock mounted on top of the dash in a pod. Was that standard equipment clock or an option? Was that the only clock offered for 1956 (besides the rare one inside the horn ring?) If the clock was not mounted on the dash, where was it located on the instrument panel? I'll attempt to attach a picture of mine.
thank you
Jerry Whitfield

Jerry: An electric clock was option No. 451 for the 1956 Plymouths. Unlike the 56 Dodges where the optional clock was located *IN* the dash, I think the 56 Plymouth's clocks were in the type bezel as you have shown, mounted *ON* the top of the dash.

Nathan and/or Igor will correct me, as needed.

In the meantime, left side of the list Item 451 CLOCK, Electric

There should be a "1" in your car's IBM card above the 45 section.

Yep, the DeSoto mounted them in the middle of the dash like this too. They also had an optional clock on your wrist available at extra cost.

Jerry: I think that you asked this same question back in 2020 and got several good answers including this from DepsilonD (Dave N):

Are you thinking about the clock in the steering wheel hub?
