Hello all:

I received word that Tom Amberg passed on March 1.  Very sad news.  Tom was not a member of the forums (I don't think), but well known in the Front Range area.

I didn't get a chance to write much at work today, but I will really miss Tom.  He was a Forward Look fan through-and-through.  I posted an image of "Maxine" Tom's 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury.  Tom really enjoyed every aspect of that car.  It looks black in the image, but, of course, the image does not do it justice.  It is actually a deep, deep dark metallic cherry.  Like Tom himself, there is so much more than meets the eye!  I think Tom actually named it after his mother.  Tom was an absolute pleasure to talk to; conversation came so easily with and from him.  He had a way to relate to everyone he met - so personable and so genuine.  His loving wife Marianne and son Chris are certainly devistated.  I met Chris once and I'm not sure if Tom and Marianne have more children.  My thoughts and prayers are with them.

By hearsay, Tom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer late last year.  God willing, he did not suffer too greatly.  I will remember him fondly.
