This is a very nice solid car, she is rare and certain to be the only one at any show or cruise you go to. Floors and trunk are completely rust free with no repairs. There is some rot in the top of the drivers fender and the drivers quarter panel as shown in pictures but that is all. All the lights work as well as the wipers and horn and even the radio works. There is new carpeting but it is not installed so you can examine the floors easily. All the glass is good with no cracks or fogging. The six cylinder engine was running very recently but is not firing now and I am willing to trailer this small project to your house. The car comes with the original bill of sale from 1956 as well as the owners manual and it will be sold with a current registration and bill of sale. The classic 50s fins are a head turner. You can obviously restore the car or hot rod whichever you prefer but the price is right for either. $7,900 (Savoy.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Savoy.jpg (238KB - 65 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9654 Location: So. Cal | Wow, raises the compression all the way to 9:1. Impressive. My experience with these single barrel carbs is not positive. That's the real issue with running the six, even on the slant six. The later 2bbl carb on it is a big improvement. And even then, the power isn't real impressive, especially in a bigger car. Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | I wonder what ever happened to this car? I was reminiscing about this car with a friend the other day and about seeing and posting it. Too far away for me.... I put together a dual single barrel for the belvedere, too. I had the head decked 0.100ths which brought the compassion up to over 9;1 but never took the time to figure it out exactly what I ended up with. Sold it before I got a chance to do the dual exhaust. I though it got up and went pretty good! ('61Slant6.jpg) Attachments ---------------- '61Slant6.jpg (196KB - 47 downloads)
