It may be a Fireflite and not an Adventurer. DeSoto had a gold color paint available in '58 and I can't tell if the triangular panel is on the tail end of the sweep that the Adventurer had. The wheel covers are definitely not Adventurer and that could be a tell-tale sign that this car is a Fireflite. Doc might be able to shed some light on this. If there was an interior shot or an engine shot, that would help too.

I "think" I see the triangular sail panel, but the give away is the missing hood ornament.  Fireflites had the hood ornament standard.  The standard wheel covers throw it off too.  The grill looks might silvery - not much goldie.

Any more information on this?  Do you know where it's located?

I can make out the triangular insert out back. Look at the forward, lower "nose"
of the insert surround stainless. I do not know this car.

White cars were real standouts in the 50's, but soon the color was seen on all sorts
of cars and lots of them, and a car like this lost that element of being special. It is
hard for me to get excited about a white car, having grown up in the 60's when white
cars were just like any other. But period photos and understanding color and style
trends of the times, having a white car was a real standout on the street and was
purposely chosen by the Exner team to denote a special car.

I was third caller on the car when it was for sale on Craigs list in Hacienda Heights , and was told it was it was off to Sweden , since been in contact with Stefan and yes he got it and has sold it as people have mentioned . You can tellits an Adventurer from teh front as it doesnt have a Hood Ornament , Adventurers dont have the Hood ornaments yet all others do . .

I'm pretty sure this was David Lindquist's old car here in S. Cal.
