Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | is that like somehow Chrysler fenders??? wtf, how could you even do that with bondo unless your out to screw it up on purpose?

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9650 Location: So. Cal | No, Chrysler fenders are the same shape in this area, just with holes for mounting trim. It really is quite dramatic, that he may have modified the metal to do that....buy WHY?? is the question.

Expert Posts: 3480 Location: Montreal, Canada | Just for the record, it's not just the "droopy" lower part that's out of shape.. Notice too how puffed up the whole headlight area is, so much so that the headlight surround moulding doesn't even fit and the fender extends all around it. Surely a ton of bondo was used!

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9650 Location: So. Cal | 60Mopars - 2020-02-13 2:21 AM Powerflite in an Adventurer?? Why do you say that? I see the 1 & 2 buttons and the oil pan isn't D-shaped, so it looks like a torqueflite. What's up with the red odometer? Is that original or an added touch? Torqueflite, just based on the size and shape and indents on the trans oil pan: You can't see "N" because it is pushed all the way in. But you can see R and D and then 1 and 2 at the bottom. I probably like this car the best of all FWL cars... and you do this to an expensive restoration? there's a ton of work in that thing yet you short cutted alot it seems... i mean yikes... plain just wtf... It wasn't a total restoration. Just a respray over bondo and patch panels and a quick engine detail decades ago. I've summarized my inspection of this car a couple of times on other threads about this car. The quick and simple: Frankenstein rear floors and quarters, bondo rockers and front fenders, musty and dank smelling interior, and the Paint is too white and has lots of blemishes. ~Peter Edited by CaprockClassics 2020-02-14 9:00 PM

Expert Posts: 1223 Location: Ramona, CA | For some reason they made the fender follow the contour of the bumper. I can't imagine how or why they wanted to do it that way other than just not knowing what it should look like and having no original sheetmetal to work with. A lot of work to make it wrong.
