Hmm...Why not just open the hood?
(I was hoping that is was going to show the air channel from the hood "scoop" to the air cleaner. NOPE

| just throwing this out there.
It was designed to show off the dual rocker heads with the fancy plug in the middle of the rocker cover. Strictly for promotional use. Perhaps the first use of "hemi under glass"? |

| I have one of those 54 Dodge dealer display hoods that I'd sell for less than half of the one on ebay. Mine is black and is NOS, though the plastic is a little foggy after 66 years! They were made for Dodge (to show off the Hemi) and Oldsmobile to show off the Super 88 engine.
If any of you are interested, remember the 54 Dodge had two bodies. The blue hood on ebay and my black one are for the wider car (2 door Club Sedan, Sierra Wagon, and 4 Door sedan). The Convertible, Suburban wagon and 2 door hardtop used the smaller hood. Of course, the clear windows, mounts, and trim from these hoods could be installed on the smaller hood.
