I read this article this morning. As a kid growing up in the 'Forward Look' era, I never heard of this car.

Heck, they should have used a light weight Plymouth Fury, with an all alumunim front end, a Dion rear axle with disks all around and a big high performance Hemi or Wedge to run circles around "Americas only sports car". Even if they had sold it at a loss, the prestige and image gain would have been the best advertising and it would have paid off in the end.
