Hi I am wanting to fit a brake booster and there does not appear to be a vacuum take off point on the intake manifold so I was thinking either make a carb spacer with a vacuum point on carb fitted is a stromberg WW( are spacers available anywhere ? ) or remove the intake manifold and fit a vacuum point in the manifold .
Engine is a 270 red ram in a 1955 Dodge Coronet Station wagon
Any other ideas or easy ways of doing this thanks Phil

Since power brakes were an option on 55 Dodge, you need to look in the FSM to see the correct vacuum hose routing. Don't jury-rig. Bear in mind that 55 Mopars used a one year only power brake setup. You have to lift the entire setup, including the power brake pedal, from another 55 Mopar.

Phil: The factory power brake set up in 1955 and 56 Dodges gets the vacuum from the intake manifold, slightly to the left rear of the carburetor, as show in the photo below. Even if your car did not get power brakes from the factory, there still should be a threaded boss there, perhaps plugged with a threaded plug.
