Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Does anyone know the correct locations for the decals/stickers under the hood including the decals on the core support. I've seen the decal for the 180 thermostat to the left of center on the core support and also on the right side. Which is correct? Also a decal about jump starting and charging. Was it on the core support, battery, radiator, inner fender, etc?? Does anyone know if these decals/stickers were installed at the factory or were they dealer installed? I know this may be trivial but I want to be as correct as possible. Pictures would be helpful! This is on a 1958 Chrysler New Yorker Wagon. Thanks Bob Edited by rebel 2018-08-05 4:31 PM

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13049 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | As for '58, I really don't know, but as for '60, it seems like the position of the labels was not "cut in stone". The picture below shows the original position (new labels) of the original labels. I have noted that on my '60 Chrysler, the labels seems to have been plastic adhesive labels originally, but I've seen Chryslers with water transfer labels as well. If you men the "Caution" - label, then this label doesn't belong on a 58 car - this label was in use '60 and up for the alternators (alternator optional on '60 Chrysler, standard from '61 and up. Hope this helps you somewhat (IMG_8952-rez.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_8952-rez.jpg (146KB - 143 downloads)

Extreme Veteran Posts: 309 Location: Western Colorado | Thanks Sven! It's kind of what I thought since I've seen the stickers on different places on the same year and model of cars. I wondered about the CAUTION sticker since it is 1/8 inch wider than the lip of the core support. I think I'll put them where I think they look correct and call it good. Bob

Extreme Veteran Posts: 340 Location: Tacoma, WA | Sorry also not a '58, but here are overlapping original decals on my 60 Windsor with factory A/C (Jefferson Plant, if I remember correctly), different and opposite side from those on Wizard's: Use MoPAR RUST RESISTOR USE MoPAR ANTIFREEZE USE ONLY 180 THERMOSTAT USE MoPAR ANTIFREEZE (PERMANENT TYPE ONLY) PROTECT RADIATOR TO +15F.
