Has anyone seen this in person?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=46286...

I asked the owner for the engine and data plate numbers and he replied 'next week'.

The engine bay seems to have been repainted from the original dark gray. Also, original ram engines had red blocks with most of them, but not all, having gold valve covers. The ram tubes and aircleaners were ALWAYS gold. Too much chrome on that engine to come from the factory that way.
It doesn't seem to have the SonoRamic Commando Power "scare emblems" either, but a few guys back then didn't like to advertise.
As to the horsepwer, the ram tubes look like they're the regular ones with the 30" passages, so it should be rated at 330 (though I have always maintained that is too conservative -- 350 is more like it).
I don't think the engine and data plate numbers will do you much good. Info as to whether or not it is an original ram-inducted car can only come from the build record. That is available from the Chrysler historical folks.
The guy must have read my article on ram engines, though, as he does refer to it as "the Hemi's grandfather"!

Looks like the bidding ended on this car. Anybody from this forum get it? I must say it is an interesting one and I'd like to know its history.

i wonder what his reserve is... bet it's at Barrett-Jackson levels. Still, i'm surprised the car didn't bring any higher bids than 22k... i expected it to go about 35k on bidding and not hit reserve. That's a really sweet set of options... i normally prefer the big cars, but i'd be on that thing like white on rice if i had the cash laying around (and then i'd install air conditioning :))

E-bay had a note that read, "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."
That sounds ominous, but it could be perfectly innocuous. Wonder if it will ever come on again?
If it does, the guy should get a build record and it would be worth a few bucks if it was originally a ram car! All that chrome might go (unless it was a result of a "999" dealer code), but a gold Fury droptop like that went for $54K at Barrett-Jackson a few years ago and it even had those dorky wire wheels.
