Veteran Posts: 228 Location: fulshear texas | last year at carlisle i purchased some nice floor pans from bob at r/car. he did not have any outer rockers with him for my 58 plymouth but told me if i bought them at the show he would ship them to me free. he claimed his rockers were the best on the market and looking at his floors i figured they probably were. about 2 months ago after many e-mails and phone calls i got my rockers by ups. the box he shipped them in is 38'' long. i got 4 pieces of rocker that are 37 inches long each. my doors are a little over 4 feet long! my body man will not use them and i won't let him. if bob knows anything about body work he knows once those bends and creases are welded the lines will never be perfect. now my e-mails go ignored and i have 4 expensive useless pieces of nicely bent sheet metal. what a way to do business! this guy just sucks!

Expert Posts: 1497 Location: Fairfax, Minnesota | I sent these folks an email stating that I would like to order a new trunk bottom, but after viewing an email from a dissatisfied customer, I would need references from other customers before I did business with them. That was 3-4 days ago - no reply.

Expert Posts: 3951 Location: Bama | I know you will get them. Hound him. I bought 4 floors and 2 trunks from Bob. I also know people that have bought inner and outer rockers and floor supports from him. He is a one man operation...

Veteran Posts: 133 | Don't really care if he is a one man operation, that doesn't stop him answering emails. He hasn't even had the decency to respond to the negative feedback I left him. I stand by my Arse comment.

Expert Posts: 3951 Location: Bama | Maybe you should try BlackCar then..I'm sure you will be totally unhappy with them too. I only recommend Bob because I had good dealings with him. I don't think I ever emailed him, I spoke directly with him on the horn. Dude is a great fabber..he might have sent you the wrong stuff because you are the.. Personally, I didn't get the rockers from him I got them from BlackCar and they went to the wheel lip. The floors and trunks only took minor stretching I guess the old Plymouth was just a little rusty for some reason. Also, it was over 3 years ago when I bought the pans. No recent dealings.
