Expert 5K+ Posts: 7805 Location: Williams California | Hi All, I have for sale a '58 Windsor hardtop that has a 100% rust free body and floors. The car runs and drives, right front brake locks up in forward gear [typical of a car that has set for a long time] The engine smokes, but may clear up after running it for a longer time, the man I got it from was trying to start it by pouring 2-stroke engine fuel down the carb, and what is left of the exhaust appears to have oil residue. All glass is in good shape, the upholstery is sun-baked but all there [except for the rugs, I pulled them to check the floorboards]. Please e-mail if interested, and I can take some better pics too. ---John ('58 Windsor.jpg) Attachments ---------------- '58 Windsor.jpg (66KB - 183 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7805 Location: Williams California | Hi Roger, the pics were taken at my place. The Windsor has the 354 Poly head engine, and torqueflite trans. The only option the car carries is power steering, not even power brakes! It is definitely a great car to restore, especially for folks that do not want to weld. ---John

Veteran Posts: 154 Location: Mandan, North Dakota | Nice Windsor! Would you be willing to post a few pics of the interior? I'm curious what its supposed to look like. I believe mine was all redone thru the years as its simple black vinyl seats while everything else is a tan-ish gray-ish gold-ish kinda color (yeah, its ishy... heehee) Thanks

Location: The Mile High City | Cool! Are you going back to black-and-white, or choosing a new paint scheme? It looks like the black-and-white in the 2006 imgages was a custom two-tone scheme, no a factory paint configuration.

Damian, you should start a thread in Members rides on this car. More detail needed on what is going on. This is one of the reasons this website is so cool, these cars just keep coming back! 12 years from Johns original post to yours, and now you are restoring it in Australia. Just goes to show that these are rare, and desirable to a select few (Of Nut-jobs!) Steve.
