I just purchased my tickets. Lower level was not availible but I was able to pick up 2 tickets for "reserved floor seats". Section A, row P seats 3 & 4. More expensive but well worth it. 25$ each

You KNOW??????

You-all, in the UPPER sections are LUCKY, because you DO appear to have (permanently) assigned-seats!!!

None of that standing-in-line-nonsense, for hours, trying to grab a folding-chair, in front of the stage!

How civilised! you just wait til about 6:o'clock, to enter the place, & then stroll-on-over, to your awaiting seats!

There's going to be 'big' screen TV's set up, too, so your view will be virtually as good as anyone sitting up-close!

From what I understand after viewing the seating arrangment diagram on the ticket website is the floor seats are also permanent, not on a first come first serve... Anyone else purchase floor seats?

A week ago I was going to purchase tickets and was only able to choose between upper level and lower level seats. When there were no more lower left I decided to wait and see if I could someone find some tickets. When I went to the site today a third seating option appeared for a higher fee. $25 for "reserved floor seat". I went with that. Hopefully this is a permanent seat.

Ahh Mike... How did you get better seats? Row J. Everytime I check the site they won't give me the option for anything closer than row P. But I am happy with my seats, especially since I waited so long to actually get tickets.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but you can go here http://www.tulsaconvention.com/fac_arena.asp and click on the 360 degree image. Then you get a cool interactive view of the convention center seating.

I ordered my tickets a couple of weeks ago, after the lower level tickets had sold out, and before the $25 floor seats were announced. So I'll be in the upper level cheap seats. With binoculars.

Kay, I am completely "with" you, here; there does appear to have been a bit of Bait-and-Switching going on!

I contacted Ms. Hale, and learned that "someone" (closely associated with the infamous "THEM") had determined that ADDITIONAL available
seating COULD be arranged, on a "Reserved/assigned-seating" basis, but, un-fortunately, no refund/discount consideration
could be provided, from the ticket-agency selling the seats, ON the pre-sold "1st-come-1st-sat" tickets, that we all have bought.

Ms Hale DID indicate that the "1st-come" seats might be better-located, than the Reserved seats, but I don't know, about
that.

Bottom-line: I'm keeping my pre-bought "1st-sat/wait-in-line" tickets.

Supposedly, on SAT, there will be an unlimited viewing opportunity, of the car.

I can IMAGINE that there will be no up-close-and-personal viewing of Virgil, on FRI nite, as there would be thousands of people
who would try to rush the stage, and, the probability for personal injury occuring therein, is considerable.

My guess is that the car will be unveiled on the floor of the arena, to avoid having to hoist it on and off of a stage. Or maybe they're simply going to haul it in on a flat-bed trailer and use the trailer for the stage. Probably the original plan was to keep the entire floor clear for this, but once they saw the demand for reserved seats, they decided to put some seats on the floor. Again, this is just my speculation. But if they do unveil the car on the floor of the arena, then the elevated seats may indeed have a better view than the floor seats.

Brian, the car IS supposed to be unveiled up on the stage, but, as you point-out, viewing OF the car, from a low vantage point is iffey!

You can imagine what the scene might be like, IF the car were to be uncovered, right in front of the audience!

Just like, for any other Concert venue, the car will be displayed above, and away from the unwashed hordes.....

I DO kinda wonder how "The Show" is supposed to end:

"Well, folks, thanks for coming to visit us, & The Car, here, from all-over-the World" . Have a nice safe trip home, now, & don't let the turnstile hit ya on the butt, on the way out."

I mean; having a dance, or something, to occur right afterward, while everybody's there, & all excited & wanting to party, would be nice!

Someone has suggested that afterward, around dark-thirty, we-all can car-avan over to the local Drive-in Movie theater (forget its name, now).

We ARE planning to elevate the car for the best vantage point for the folks on the floor. We will also have large screens, so everyone should be able to have a good view. We are having a sockhop on Saturday night in Exhibition Hall A. The rest of Friday night for us will be readying and moving the Belvedere in to the Invitational Car Show where she will be center stage on Saturday and Sunday.

From the Tulsa World web site, 5/22/07:

"Car show admission free: Organizers have dropped plans to charge $5 for admission to the invitational car show where the Belvedere will be displayed for two days after it is dug up June 15.

"Tulsarama! Chairwoman Sharon King Davis said the decision was made because sufficient donations have been received to cover the cost of the three-day event."

Well, I now have four tickets, when I only need two. Two more tickets came in my participant packet for the Invitational show. If anyone is interested in my others let me know. PM or E-mail.

Reasons I am not coming are not too serious, I'm fine.
Yes, I was going to ship my car, but happily I was able to cancel that too. With acceptable costs.
You guys make a lot of photo's and video's, so I'll be able to see some too!
