Do you guys know of a website where the info could be found about it? I've often thought that with today's digital technology they could really do the story justice rather than destroying a bunch of rare cars.

If any one is under the delusion that a remake of Christine would be made without destroying more Plymouths, then go have your head examined. Of course they will destroy more Plymouths! If they’ll blow up million dollar houses and wreck brand new Aston Martins for a movie, then why in the world wouldn’t they destroy more ’57 and ’58 Plymouths or anything else they can mock up to look like Christine?

As far as I’m concerned this is horrible news. Sure it might be entertaining, but that just means there will be even more people obsessed with turning every Plymouth into a clone. No good can come from this…

I disagree. I think it would be great to see a remake. If there were a resurgence in popularity of our cars, then maybe more REPRODUCTION PARTS will be made. I would like to do a frame off restoration on my car, like I did with my Lil Red. The problem is that when I did my Lil Red, there were no parts, there still aren't many, to restore one. There are very few parts for our cars. Just look at Heater Control Valves, Bumper Wings, Good Radiators, Torsion Bars, Fuel Pumps (for sixes), Glass, Upholstery. How hard are these parts to find? If our cars were popular, then maybe we could get some frakin' parts!!

Plus their values would increase, which would be nice to people who want to sell their cars.

The only thing I ever heard with regards to a remake was that some time back, maybe a year or two ago, Stephen King and his buddies at ABC were toying with the idea of doing a remake as a made for TV miniseries, a la The Shining. That never came to fruition, though, because the producers of the 1983 movie had remake rights and refused to let them do it, if I remember correctly.

There are rights that belong to Colubia/Tristar for a remake. If that is done then it would be done by them. However a sequel is an open option. Just trust me on that one. I look at it this way. A second Christine would be great for the value of our cars. Yes when the first one was made there was twenty something cars that got used up, but I ask you this, How many did it save? I know I am driving one that would be a goner if it was not for that movie.

Firstly , I have never read the Book,,, But isn,t it correct ( h-bomb ) In the book Christine was a 4-door... If so , After the Re-make Movie hits the Screens, All the 2 Dr Fury,s that have been Cloned are going to look rather Odd... But the Price of 4 drs is going to Rocket... Maybe the Remake Movie will be called CHRISTINA.......

I'll bet somebody confused the fact that King wrote a book about a car again(a buick) and it is now being made into a movie.

a remake looks to be in the works. the director for the newly released "disturbia" is toying with the idea. and has said that if produced would be closer to a book version rather than a new take on the movie screenplay version. possibly a t.v. movie. if anyone knows for sure it would be martin sanchez, a.k.a. moochie chaser. he has close ties to the industry. google, christine remake. legit? who knows, mike in k.c.

THIS SUBJECT HAS ME ON BOTH SIDES.IT WOULD BE A COOL THING TO SEE A REMAKE AND PEOPLE MAY REPRODUCE PARTS.ON THE OTHER SIDE,MOR CARS TO BE CRUSHED AND THE COSTS WOULD SKYROCKET.

OH YEAH,AFTER THE MOVIE THEY WOULD SEND THE CARS TO A JUNKYARD AND WE COULD PROBABLE GET THE PARTS PRETTY CHEAP.

They'd better not be using any real Fury's...but here's an idea, why not just have a storyline that DOESN"T involve the car getting destroyed...who the hell wants to see that anyway? Nobody on this site!! These cars deserve the attention. Look at what Fast and Furious did for the (yawn) Mustang (elenour or whatever).

It would be great if much could be done with CGI. I saw the making of the latest "Dukes of Hazard" movie and I bet they used less than 10 68-70 Chargers. Now I know we are forward look people here but in my opinion busting up one of those chargers is just about as much of a sin.

A made for TV movie would be a big let down for the destruction of even a handful of old cars . Compared to cable tv or a major production , made for tv movies really suck. Unless you are a female watching the LMN channel . Are all you people planning on selling your cars that ya ll are so painsakingly restoring , wanting the prices to go out the ying/yang ? 55-61 Ramblers will start to look enticeing pretty soon .

The website I checked said the story was going to be centered around a demonic Lexus SUV that becomes
possessive of its owner's tacky new money bling in order to be appealing the the current generation. I can
hardly wait to miss it.
