The "Canada" car is a serious rust bucket. Note the Mercury headlight bucket taped into place on the
close fender, the missing rocker .... the torsion bar is probably broken loose from the frame !

Location: Some Island called Prince Edward		Saskatoon is actually a pretty dry place in Canada. No salt used there either. Cars hold up quite well in the province of Saskatchewan.

Is it just me or does this car look motorless, or the Tbars are cranked up way too high?

Am I on drugs or do these cars look better with a reverse rake like that? Like a shark coming out of the water.

There was a Wigwam store at the Eastgate Plaza shopping center near where I lived as a young kid.
Coincidentally, my mother was driving a copper and cream 57 Chevy wagon just like the one shown in
that photo. We often went to Safeway, Fisher Drugs, or the Wigwam store there. A really ancient style
Dairy Queen occupied a space in the parking lot, away from the main building/s. Jerry's Barber Shop
was there, as well as a sit-down restaurant called "'Lil Jon's". Next door to that was a Ford dealership
whose name escapes me at the moment, as my car-buddy friend and I gravitated toward the dealerships
in downtown Bellevue. That Ford dealership was Metke Ford, on the corner of 8th and 108th.

I don't remember much about Wigwam other than it sold kitschy "discount" stuff and looked much like
our local Rite-Aid does today.

Eastgate Plaza was a classic 50's era shopping center, like some of the better ones shown in this thread.
I still have the Schwinn Stingray I rode around there as a kid. Wonder if I rode it back, it might look the
same, with a parking lot full of pastel colored cars ?
