Not Canadian.... maybe a fifties aftermarket thingy.... or stolen from a 59 Plymouth decklid? ( 59 Plymouth units were bolted on to the regular deck lid whereasImperial and Chrysler units were a one piece stamped lid.

Brent, if you're referring to the reddish colored car 2 places behind the 59 Dodge, as a 61 Dart, I think its actually a 60 Chebby, not a 61 Dart.

Now, that is one FANTASTIC find, doc!! Thank you for posting it!

Taken in the same small town in eastern Quebec as this earlier picture I posted some time ago, considering the low production number of 1958 Fireflite convertibles, I would bet this is the exact same car!!

One has to wonder where this car is now, if it still exists.. I know that area very well, having been raised an hour east of that town, and I can tell you I've never seen a 1958 Desoto in that area, my whole life.... though, it's a rural area with thousands of barns in which I still think cars like this Desoto can still be uncovered. As a matter of fact, I did see two FL convertibles just last year in local barns, that nobody in the collector car circuit knew about (a 1957 Dodge and 1959 plymouth)...
