Mark; that's what's NICE about free-enterprise: you can look like Donald Trump, but if you got the BUX, you can get a Catherine Zeta-JONES to ride along with you (and you don't even need to drive a cur-vette!!!)

Well Neil, I'm already well on my way to a toupee that looks like something I picked out of the bathtub drain anyways - just that my scalp is trying to save up for a comb-over at the moment..... LOL!

No fiberglass deathtraps for me, though. If my present driver doesn't crap out on me first, my next car WILL be a solid black 1959 Plymouth Fury (not a Sport Fury) 2 door hardtop. The cool thing about living in Arizona is it's home to Bo Malefors International Classic Cars - Bo's a FL guy through and through, specializing in restoring all 1955-1961 MoPars - and he can find me one at the drop of a hat if I've got the $$$. Just gotta get back on my feet and, being a bachelor, I'll be well on my way.

BUT, Catherine Zeta-Jones or not, the woman that's with me is gonna know that she'll go before the fins will - being of the mindset that I don't mind being a bachelor at all, I can do that. I got rid of my last pair of fins because of a woman and I've regretted it ever since. Like I said, she's got to dig fins & John Lee Hooker.

She's got to be low-maintenance as well - hell, if I want an expensive seat cover, I'll look into suede.....or beg her to latch onto the sucker with the pile of yellow fiberglass.

I'll be there, anytime, anywhere!

5 years is a long way from where I am now. Why not do this more frequent? I know: easier said then done. What we need is some enthusiast(s) that will organize this. And that's not easy! Experience in similar events will be needed. If it can be done at break even, I would love to help organize too! We’d need a good place, somewhere central in the US, in a classic cars friendly state/town. When there’s no unearthing, what things will motivate us to go out on an extensive road trip? Has to be more (or more specific) then the Chrysler meets.

But anyway, whenever there’s a forwardlook specific event, I will do anything to be a part of it!

Altho not logistically convenient to the West Coasters, Branson, MO should try to develop (yeah, like THAT would be tough) a 50's-60's annual meet, like they have in Vesteras(SP?) Sweden.

I don't know if Branson has the outlying area available, for cars to tow their trailers, for a major camp-out/in, like Sweden, but that access would be a draw, for the venue.

I'd be curious about the distances travelled, in Europa, to get to Vesteras.

This place is so big, that I drove 31 hours, at highway speeds, just to get to TULSA!

So, I wonder what a 1,500 mile radius to Branson would encompass?

Of course it will never happen, again, but I wouldn't mind a reunion in Tulsa, but, this time, I'd like to get to see the TOWN and environs, with a late-nite rendezvous @ the parking garage!
