We were sorry to have missed the events for the FL folks at the Doubletree, but plans had already been made for a get together at Stroud . We had been talking about it for a year previous. This was a laid back day to rest up for the Fri-Sat-Sun action. First was breakfast at the Rock Cafe right on Route 66. One of the characters in the movie "CARS" (Sally?) was based on the lady that owns this cafe. Most of us wound up staying there near all day. They had an outdoor covered patio where we could eat and have several beverages. It was great getting to know each other and watching the travelers that go on Route 66. Cheryl and I visited a couple of wine shops and went on a tour of a winery. That evening Judge Dave took us on a little trip to show us a historical marker waaaayyyy out in the boondocks. Then a buffet had been arranged for by Dave and we were joined by more of the FL bunch. Even with the rain that night, a good time was had by all. Some folks left early , some stayed at Stroud, but Cheryl and I had reservations at the Doubletree so we braved heavy rain . WOW what a rush when we pulled into the Tree and it was a madhouse of FL folks ! Driving up to the upper levels of the parking
lot with all those fins! Meeting people at the parking lot lounge. This must be a DREAM!
I will have some more pics to put up later

Clive, wouldn't that pic you just put up make a good postcard? There were some people who had planned on being at Stroud who were unable to even get to Tulsa. and then there was a person who discouraged anyone to go there , but that was OK, I don't think that those who did were disapointed. There were some who left before the group photo because of the threatning rain. I know I have some lasting friendships from Stroud.......................MO.

Well, I wish I hadn't listened to the naysayers.... Part of the problem was that Dave Ball got so busy with work at the time that he was no where to be found... I know how that goes, I get that way as well.

By far my favorite day of the trip was this day. But.... Part of that was because I was being a responsible parent and getting my daughter in bed at a reasonable hour... Everyone else was in the parking garage.... I was in the pool and then tucking her into bed by then. This day at Stroud, I got my relax time.

There were also 'doings' over at the Crown Plaza Hotel.

It's too bad that there wasn't one MORE day to socialize, or, where we could all could have gotten together (except for
THUR nite, at the "parking garage").

S'funny; for all the other Plymmies, at the 'Tree ( Ply Owners Club) there really wasn't much/any interaction with them,
except for maybe a :"Hi-Ya doin"....in passing by each other.
