I hope y'all will forgive me for posting this as it is one year off of being ForwardLook.  The LaComtesse show car from 1954 that has been missing for decades was recently found in Southern California.  It was purchased by Chrysler Historical and hopefully one day in the near future we will be able to view it at the museum as well as on line.  Look for an upcoming article by Merle Wolfer regarding the find and the car in the WPC magazine..

Wow Wayne! That's a rare car, there was also the Le Comte but that differed only in color.

http://www.carstyling.ru/cars.1954_Chrysler_La%20Comtesse%20.html  is one of the better internet links about this show car.

Of ForwardLook interest is the very obvious fact that we should consider the La Comtesse as the predecessor car to the Dodge La Femme.

NOW, who knows the whereabouts of La Comte, the "male" version of this pair of show cars??

Yay, didn't even knew it was missing. Great to know it exists....while the front and rear are maybe not the most futuristic, the clear top is for sure !

Re: this "missing" (to whom, it's owner?) car, can anyone decipher its license plate registration-year sticker,
to see when it was last legally-street-driven ?

That rear license has '69 and '70 stickers on it.

Missing from public and collector view for THIRTY EIGHT years, wouldn't you agree.  I think the owner probably knew it was in his garage, but maybe not.

I had permission from Merle Wolfer with no restrictions on spreading the pictures around.  Received pics from him.

The Histerical Society ought not to do ANTHING 'to' the car, except to clean it, gently.

Any "re-do" on it will destroy the original condition of the car, and, it is an unique artifact (sound familiar?).
