Is there anyone who can decode this? For me most is clear, but I'm stuck on the Body No and the Trim Code. This is an extremely loaded Saratoga - I wounder if the trimcode is a "package"? Water got under/between those two sections of bare metal, and rust resulted, and propagated from that area.

So that means that it's not possible to read out the options on a Canadian car? This car has almost everything on it; Body Front Fender Ornaments Remote Control Outside Rear-view Mirror 3-strut hooded mirror Passenger Side Outside Rear-view Mirror 2-strut hooded mirror (should be 3-strut, but both types were mounted) Sport tone trim Panoramic Rear Window Rear Bumper Guards Rear Wing Antenna Solex glass front and back Underhood isolation and undercoating Interior Padded Lucite Steering Wheel Power Window lifts 7 Button Selfseeking Radio Chromed Hard Top Garnish Trim 6-Way Power Seat Rear Window Defogger Rear Seat Radio Speaker (1) Do you also know the motor number Bill? PC2-162020 What is 162020? Expert 5K+ Posts: 7206 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | Sven, I saw your friend's Canadian Saratoga posted for sale on line several years ago, in the province of, ( I think ) New Brunswick, or maybe Nova Scotia, can't remember. I have quite a few pictures saved of this beauty, and indeed it has almost every conceivable option. I am sure that all Canadian built four door hardtops came with the sky high rear window, even through the 1962 model year. And many of them had the clear lucite padded steering wheels. Speaking of the steering wheels, this one has a black painted center hub, mine has a white painted center hub. Any ideas why the differences? I notice one option this car is missing is the day/night prismatic rear view mirror. Also this car, being Canadian built, will have a Low Block 383 instead of the Raised block 383. <br /> Edited by imopar380 2008-08-15 11:51 AM

I really don't know about the center hub Ian - I thought that the black one was for Windsor and Saratoga while the white one was "reserved" for the New Yorkers - but then again, I have no proof of that.

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Sven, just for general information, could you post some pics of both sides of the rear parcel shelf's defroster and speaker? I'm curious if the same mechanisms were used throughout many years, and what the speaker grille appearance was. Does the radio, itself, have a fader switch on it, for front and rear listening?
