Mint green original, restorable '57 Savoy with 84,000 miles, 301-poly V8 and PowerFlite automatic transmission is just out of storage from an Indiana estate. Be forwarned as the brakes do not work on this car! Typical Midwestern car with the usual rusty areas in lower rear fenders and rockers, but it's complete and the engine even runs. Powerflites are not desirable to me, and the car is nowhere near where I live. Better trailer this one home or you had better be prepaired to stick your foot out the door, six-million-dollar-man style!

that's right - 57 plymouth - barn car since 1970- no brakes. all else is functional. fluids, rubber,
tuneup, tires (dry rot), comp. overhaul of hydraulic sys. to dual port master cylinder, check
drums and shoes for meat. how do you find a porportioning block and wheel cyls. for a
57 plymouth??? save for 3 years, this car is as old as i am!!! prob. manual steering. oh, and
a new front-end kit for it, too. did i leave anything else out?

i need parts sources-help me. i might put in new brakes, shocks, exhaust and front end and
tires and drive it home from flat rock, indiana, whereever that is. i'll get it on mapquest.

IF I WIN THE BID OD 1550.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kanter Auto Products (http://www.kanter.com) for front suspension components and brakes. Generally good results from this vendor.

Kepich Exhaust, however, has a mixed record. One FL restorer was satisfied with his new flathead-six exhaust system, but restorers of dual-exhaust Imperials and Furys encountered problems in fitting their mufflers and pipes.

Auto Custom Carpets has replacement carpeting that fits as perfectly as possible.

Like Meat Loaf says, two out of three ain't bad.
