$6000 OR $8000 Buy It Now..

In.............South Bend, Indiana,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___Restored-1959-Plymouth...

This auction is for a 1959 Plymouth. An on-frame restoration has just been completed on this car. This is not a show car, but is a beautiful car that I use to go to the local cruise nights. The paint is new, interior is all new, the bumpers are freshly rechromed, the brake line system is all new with the exception of the wheel hubs as there is one bad drum that will need to be replaced. The car could also use some shocks. Other than that, it drives out nicely. I put a 305 cubic inch Chevy V8 with a built Turbo 400 automatic in it (the mileage in the information is not correct. I'm not sure what it is exactly since the engine was changed). It has a quick take-off for how big and heavy the car is. There is a fuel cell in the trunk and the body and frame are very solid and make a nice restoration piece. The car has skirts, dummy spot lights, and many other accessories. I lowered the whole car 2 inches. So far I've taken it to one local car show and got a 2nd place trophy; the car gets quite a bit attention. I unfortunately fell into the need for money and now must sell it. I would keep the car if I could. Any questions, I'll try to answer as best as I can. The car is being sold as is. Please, serious bidders only. I am selling this to someone in the U.S.A. only. Thank you and good luck!

Auction winner is responsible for picking up car.

$500.00 paypal deposit is required within 5 days of auction end.

I guess that answers the age-old question of "how bad would the '58 side treatment look on a '59?" Doesnt work for me.

You ain't a-kiddin! I do like the rocket motif on the dash, but that '58ish treatment just doesn't fit the beatiful lines of the '59.

The ride height is nice though, and one thing I'll say for that 58 style trim, it lengthens the car so that the 4 door roofline does not look so bulbous.

OK, so I'm a Dodgeboy, but, I really don't dis-like the side trim treatment on this car, especially with the
fender skirts; I think that the overall trim scheme 'works'.

I don't particularly like that they've closed off the rear of the trunk (like, that can't be fixed, real quick), and,
I would have either cut off some of the shifter's length, or, found a shorter shift-handle (ditto).

The interior's a little bit too red for my taste, too, but, as a hot rod, lead-sled-wannabe it's alright.

And, oh-yeah: I'd lose that trunk fuel-cell, and install one of the newly-available 23 gallon gas
tanks in its proper place, under the car.
