Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13045 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | I just got my steeringwheel from the renovator in Sweden - absolutely totally fantastic work. The renovator started with a core that I got from Jorgen (thank's again) and went through the whole process of chopping off the old plastic, recromed the ring and molded new clear plastic for to finally blending the correct colour by hand and eye for to get an absolute match with the interior colour. I think that the renovator "Gittans Rattar" is well known i Sweden, but this is a hint to our friends in the other Scandinavian countries. For further information send me a PM. Are you going to paint your horn pads to match the interior color ? Interesting to note your dash pad is blue-green and mine is green, as is my steering wheel, green compared to your blue green wheel. My carpet is also green, compared to your blue-green carpet. <br /> Edited by imopar380 2009-01-25 11:41 PM (steering_wheel.JPG) (interior_dash.jpg) (DSC00216_resize.jpg) Attachments ---------------- steering_wheel.JPG (102KB - 287 downloads) interior_dash.jpg (162KB - 224 downloads) DSC00216_resize.jpg (182KB - 320 downloads)

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13045 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Thanks Ian, the hornpads are repaired with Plastidip, so I'm not sure that it'll stand paint. When I find some cores, I'll send them to Gary Goers for a new set of horn pads - those will be painted in a match to the padded dash. Yes, I did notice the differance in colours for our interiors. The fabric and vinyl seems to be dead ringers, as well as the door panels, my original carpet was actually just a little bit more blueish, but the dashboard padding is exactly the same colour (only semi-gloss for less reflections). Judging on all the '60 Chryslers I've seen, your dashboard padding could have been changed - all the original ones I've seen has been hanging down over the glove compartment and warped over the trans pushbuttons.

Sven, yes my dash board has definitely been replaced, its a new one from Just Dashes in L.A. Attached is a photo of the old pad and old seat material, before I owned the car. The dash pad is close to the same color as the new one. Taking a closer look at the color of the seat vinyl, it looks a little more greenish than the new vinyl that is on the seats now - maybe the color was changed.
